I've Got Plans For You
I’ve Got Plans For You
This week, we invite you to journey through a specially crafted devotional series inspired by our recent sermon, "I’ve Got Plans For You." Each day, we will explore different scriptures that remind us of God’s sovereign plans, His pursuit of our hearts, and the spiritual disciplines that draw us closer to Him.
In these devotionals, you'll find a daily scripture to read, a journal prompt for personal reflection, and a prayer prompt to help you connect with God in conversation. Each component is designed to take about five minutes, helping you engage deeply with God’s word and presence in a manageable, meaningful way each day.
Whether in the quiet of the morning, during a break in your day, or in the calm of the evening, let these verses and questions guide you towards a greater understanding of how God is actively involved in your life, shaping you to fulfill His divine purposes. Join us as we discover the joy of being sought by God and the peace that comes from truly seeking Him in return.
Monday: Divine Initiation and Promise
Scripture: Jeremiah 29:10-11 NIV" This is what the LORD says: 'When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my gracious promise to bring you back to this place. For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'"
Journal Prompt: Reflect on a time when you experienced God's promise of hope in your life. How did it change your perspective or actions?
Prayer Prompt: Pray for discernment to recognize the paths and opportunities God is placing before you. Ask for faith to step into His plans without hesitation.
Tuesday: The Pursuit of the Magi
Scripture: Matthew 2:1-2 NIV" After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, 'Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.'"

Journal Prompt: Journal about the moments when you felt God drawing you closer to Him. How did those experiences impact your faith journey?

Friday: Assurance of Finding God
Scripture: Matthew 7:7-8; Revelation 3:20 NIV" Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8) "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me." (Revelation 3:20)
